Monster Marker verification – When you pull your new rope out of its bag, please flake it out.  Starting with both ends in one hand, pull the rope through your other hand to verify that the 30m end marks are at the same position.

Continue until you reach the rope’s midpoint where you will find the middle mark.  This will verify that all the markers are in the correct positions.  If you find that any of the markers are not in the correct position, please return the rope free of charge and we’ll replace it.

Monster Rope construction begins with premium, high-tenacity Nylon 6 fibers.  These fibers are twisted then tensioned to form core yarns and sheath strands.  Strict quality controls closely monitor all phases of construction: core and sheath fiber twisting, thermosetting and braiding.

All Monster Ropes are constructed of round, multifilament yarns and then 50% S and 50% Z twists are introduced into the core and sheath fibers.  This ensures a completely balanced, non-rotating/kinking rope.  Inexpensive ropes without S and Z twisting will wear unevenly and may become stiff as a cable or soft and floppy after use.  Monster ropes will remain round and firm with excellent handling characteristics for the life of the rope!

Monster Ropes achieve a very high level of durability and one of the big reasons is a high twist level in the sheath yarns.  This twist level creates a high fiber density which gives Monster Ropes a very durable and long-wearing outer shell (sheath).  This tightly wound, high-fiber sheath protects both sheath and core strands which results in superior durability and handling.

We offer both dry and non-dry ropes.  Our dry ropes use a very effective method of water repellent impregnation which cuts water absorption by 50%.  This results in a coating over the entire rope which increases abrasion resistance by reducing friction, thus extending the life of the rope.  Additionally, a dry rope will dry faster (because it absorbs less water), will weigh less when wet, and increases overall safety as wet or frozen ropes lose much of their elasticity.  (A dry rope is, in fact, stronger.)

Compact End Technology - To completely seal the ends of each rope, an ultrasonic melting process is used to fuse both the core and sheath fibers into one.  During this process, the rope is given a tapered end profile which makes tying and untying from the rope much easier!

Testing / Certification - To be able to guarantee you the highest level of safety, each and every Monster Rope meets or exceeds the requirements and standards set by the following bodies: fulfills all U.I.A.A. requirements, meets the CE standards and the EC directives, guaranteed by the CE mark found on every Monster Climbing Rope.  In addition, Monster Ropes are certified to ISO 9001, a confirmation of our company's faultless quality assurance program.
